Description

The Wood Original bed in oak is made for the child who has outgrown a junior bed and is ready for a real, grown-up bed – one that will stay with them well into their teens.

Soft, rounded lines inspired by Nordic design from the 1950s, a leather strap at the headboard and hidden screws give the bed its calm, timeless look. Made from white-oiled solid oak and moulded birch veneered in oak. As a natural material, every piece of oak has its own grain and subtle differences in tone.

Fits a 90 x 200 cm mattress. Add the Wood bed drawer for extra storage or a bed guard for added safety, both sold separately. As part of the Wood Original series, the bed can later be converted into a day bed, low loft bed or bunk bed with a conversion kit.

You can find the matching Wood Original mattress (90 x 200 cm) here.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age is the Wood Original bed in oak suitable for?

It is designed for the child who has outgrown a junior bed, so it is the natural next step after a toddler or junior bed and lasts well into the teenage years. With a maximum static load of 120 kg it is sturdy enough for teens – and for a parent sitting on the edge for a bedtime story.
What size mattress does the Wood Original bed need?

A standard single mattress of 90 × 200 cm. The bed measures 97 × 207 × 69 cm and has a bed clearance of 45 cm with the Wood Original mattress, which leaves room underneath for the optional Wood bed drawer.
What is the oak Wood Original bed made of?

White-oiled solid oak and moulded birch veneered in oak, treated with a white-pigmented oil based on linseed, sunflower and jojoba oil. It is made in Europe and complies with European safety standards. As a natural material, the oak can vary slightly in tone.
Can the Wood Original bed be converted later?

Yes. With a conversion kit the bed can become a day bed, low loft bed or bunk bed in the Wood Original series. Oliver Furniture guarantees five years of availability for the standard conversion kits from the date of purchase.
What is the difference between the oak and the white/oak Wood Original bed?

The design and dimensions are the same. The oak version is finished in oak throughout, while the white/oak version combines a white frame with oak legs. Both take a 90 × 200 cm mattress, and accessories and conversion kits are available in matching finishes.
