On Children Baby Muslin

This soft lightweight organic cotton muslin have been designed with an abundance of uses, making sure it will be a firm family favourite for the nursery, through to the junior bedroom and the great outdoors. A perfect lightweight blanket to use as a swaddle, nursing cover, burp cloth, baby change cover and tummy time mat - the small size blanket has a multitude of uses and makes an extra special gift for a newborn.

Inspired by the poet Kahlil Gibran's poem 'On Children', this double layer muslin is an exploration of the relationship between parent and child. Hand illustrated and painted by Forivor's Alice Ruby Ross, this special muslin contemplates Gibran's beautiful poem.

'You may house their bodies but not their souls,
     For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
     You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
     For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.'

The artwork has been printed onto an antique paper coloured muslin and has fringed edging.
