Description

The Wood Original bed in white/oak is made for the child who has outgrown a junior bed and is ready for a real, grown-up bed – one that will stay with them well into their teens.

Soft, rounded lines inspired by Nordic design from the 1950s, a leather strap at the headboard and hidden screws give the bed its light, timeless look. Made from birch and MDF, painted white with non-toxic, REACH-certified paint, with legs in white-oiled solid oak.

Fits a 90 x 200 cm mattress. Add the Wood bed drawer for extra storage or a bed guard for added safety, both sold separately. As part of the Wood Original series, the bed can later be converted into a day bed, low loft bed or bunk bed with a conversion kit.

You can find the matching Wood Original mattress (90 x 200 cm) here.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age is the Oliver Furniture Wood Original bed suitable for?

The Wood Original single bed is designed for the older child who has outgrown the junior bed or for the teenager, so it’s the natural next step after a toddler or junior bed and lasts through the teenage years. The bed base has a maximum static weight load of 120 kg, which means it suits teenagers and an adult sitting on it for bedtime stories.
What size mattress does the Wood Original bed need?

It takes a standard single mattress of 90 × 200 cm, 13 cm high, and the bed’s outer dimensions are 97 cm wide, 207 cm long and 69 cm high. Bed clearance is 45 cm with the Wood Original mattress, which leaves space underneath for the optional bed drawer.
Is the Wood Original bed made from safe, non-toxic materials?

Yes. The series is made of birch wood and MDF, and the white/oak version has legs in white-oiled solid oak. It is made in Europe, complies with strict EU health and safety requirements, and is finished with non-toxic, REACH-certified paint.
Can the Wood Original bed be converted into a different bed later?

Yes. The bed can be converted into any other bed in the same Wood Original series, for example when a sibling arrives or the room becomes a teen room. Oliver Furniture guarantees five years of availability for the standard conversion kits from the date of purchase.
What’s the difference between the white/oak and the all-white Wood Original bed, and which accessories fit?

The frame is the same. The difference is the legs: one model has white-oiled solid oak legs, and the other is all-white with solid birch legs. Both versions can be supplemented with a bed guard for extra safety and a bed drawer for toys or bed linen.
