Almost nine years ago, Mylene Niedzialkowski created one of her signature lamps, inspired by a desire to “play” with the remarkably flexible material rattan. By steaming and soaking it, she shapes the rattan into generous, organic forms — rounded in some places, pointed and curled in others. The result is an object that feels light and airy, almost as if you could forget its substantial volume. A touch of brass adds a refined finish, tying the entire design together with timeless sophistication.
