At Home With Paula Aparicio

A Parisian Family Home

We are inspired by how young moms create beautiful spaces for their little ones, and today we’re taking you inside the home of Paula, a stylish mom living in Paris with her 18-month-old daughter, Olivia. From timeless furniture pieces to playful touches, Paula’s home and Olivia’s room are filled with personality and charm. Here’s a little peek into how she brings it all together!

Discover Olivia’s Room

When it comes to Olivia’s room, Paula wanted to keep things simple yet meaningful. The room started with a few key pieces: a Bonton Bohème bed, a cozy Zoé Rumeau moon light, and a soft bed canopy. But what makes it special are the personal touches—like the Fiona Walker lion head (because Olivia is a Leo!) and framed handprints.

The room is a work in progress, with new pieces being added as Olivia grows, which makes it feel extra special!

Paula's Styling Tips for a Kids’ Room

Olivia’s room is still a work in progress—it has been for a year and a half!—and I absolutely love finding new special pieces to add. It’s so much fun!

Cozy Lighting

Soft, warm lighting is key for creating a calming atmosphere.

Beautiful Storage

Keep things tidy with plenty of storage. I think it’s important to make the space playful and fun so that kids actually enjoy spending time and playing in their rooms!

Personal Touches

Add little pieces that reflect your child’s personality—whether it’s a favorite animal head or a monogrammed cushion.

Paula’s Must-Have Baby Items

I highly recommend Minois bath products - I’m absolutely obsessed with their scent. I also love Garbo&Friends bedding and muslins, which are incredibly soft and come in beautiful prints. A good baby carrier is essential as well—we have the Artipoppe one, and I still use it now that Olivia is 18 months old! Another must-have for us was a baby rocker; we have one from Charlie Crane, and Olivia adored it when she was a baby.

Favorite Finds

Olivia’s room is filled with gems from The Archive Store! Paula loves the Fiona Walker animal headsZoé Rumeau lighting, the Metal Star Hooks, and the EcoBirdy table—all perfect for creating a playful yet sophisticated kids’ space. Both for kids & adults, the Georges Store Lamp is a must-have for any room in the home.

The Skippy cotton ornaments and CSAO cushions are also on her favorites list!

Exploring Paris with Kids

Living in Paris, Paula has some great recommendations for family-friendly activities. Her favorites include the Luxembourg Gardens, where you can relax while the kids play, and a visit to the Louis Vuitton Foundation followed by a stop at the Jardin d'Acclimatation—a kid’s dream amusement park. And for a fun shopping experience, check out Si Tu Veux in Galerie Vivienne, a toy store full of charm!

Regarding restaurants, some great options are crepes at Breizh Café, le marche des enfants rouges (the oldest food market in Paris), or for something fancier Le Petit Lutetia or the terrace in Loulou Restaurant (the interior designed by Joseph Dirand is amazing too).
